VALENTINE’S HOMEMAKING + BAKING + COOKING FROM SCRATCH + DECORATE

I share many fun Valentine’s recipes. No dye red velvet cake , toffee , short bread cookies and more. I decorate for Valentine’s and just take you along while I homemake for valentines day.

Recipes:

Red velvet cake: (no food dye)

Wet ingredients:

1 1/2 cup buttermilk

3 eggs (room temperature)

1 1/2 stick butter (room temperature)

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 3/4 cup brown sugar

Dry Ingredients:

3 cups all purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup 100% cocoa powder

1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

Line cake pan with parchment paper at the bottom cut out the correct shape. Butter pan or spray. Bake at 325 for 40 mins. Let cool completely level cakes and add frosting and enjoy.

Cream cheese frosting:

1 stick of butter (room temperature)

1 cup Cream cheese (room temperature)

3 cups powder sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

Beat on medium until completely smooth
Shortbread cookies:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 ½ cups flour
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking powder

Mix dough let chill over night
Roll 1 inch thick , cut and 350 for 8 minutes

1 Teaspoon of jelly is the middle

Toffee:

1 cup sugar
1/2 half cup water
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla at 300 degrees
1 cup chocolate chips
4 tablespoons pecans

Play dough:
2 cups flour
2 cups water
1/2 half cup salt
2 teaspoons of cream of tarter
2 table spoons of coconut oil

Cook on medium

1 tablespoon raspberry juice

Creamy garlic sauce:
4 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 cup butter
1 cup heavy cream
Whole onion
3 cloves of garlic
Salt
Pepper
Cajun seasoning
Cayenne pepper
21 salute seasoning (Trader Joe’s)
Bring to a boil and let come down to a simmer than add pasta and meat enjoy!
