Strawberry Sundae Puff with Chocolate Sauce | Everyday Food with Sarah Carey

Sure, you could drizzle ice cream with a little bottled chocolate sauce. That would be delicious, no doubt. But what if you want something a little special? Something slightly more decadent? Well, I've got the recipe for you -- and it's an easy one, too! The secret weapon is golden-baked rounds of puff pastry (which you can find in the freezer case), piled with ice cream (I like vanilla, but any flavor will do), fresh strawberries, toasted walnuts, and homemade fudge sauce. Fabulous!

In the video, I'll show you how to handle the puff pastry properly -- don't worry, it's easy. And, if you don't have strawberries for this dessert, try another fruit! The great thing about this recipe is that it's totally adaptable. We originally developed it with bananas. What fruit will you use?

Recipe Ingredients:
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed and cut into six 3 1/2-inch rounds
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Coarse salt
4 firm-ripe bananas, thinly sliced
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts
