On The Newshour Debate with Navika Kumar, we discuss the spat between the Bharatiya Janata Party and micro-blogging site Twitter. Social media site Twitter had tagged BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra’s tweet about the alleged toolkit as ‘manipulated media’. The BJP has alleged that this toolkit is being used by Opposition party Congress to tarnish the Centre's image with respect to its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Twitter has reportedly asked Delhi Police to direct its enquiries to the United States office of Titter Inc. Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla says Twitter is not saying that Sambit Patra is manipulative. They are saying that content put by him may be disruptive and may not be accurate.
