Kedarnath, June 14: A 27-year-old lawyer from Uttar Pradesh died after falling into a 600-foot gorge while returning from Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, in an incident that has drawn widespread attention due to a reel he posted shortly before the tragedy.

Priyanshu Shukla, a resident of Farrukhabad district, was returning with friends and relatives when he reportedly slipped on a rain-soaked stretch after taking an unauthorised shortcut along the trekking route. He fell into a deep gorge near a river, prompting a massive rescue operation involving SDRF, NDRF, police and disaster management teams.

After nearly seven hours of search efforts, rescuers recovered his body and he was declared dead.

What has left many emotional is a reel Priyanshu shared from outside the Kedarnath temple around an hour before the accident. In the video, he said, "Dil accha, karm accha, baaki sab Bholenath ki ichha" (Good heart, good deeds, the rest is Lord Shiva's will).

Priyanshu leaves behind his wife, a two-year-old son and other family members. His final reel has since gone viral on social media, with many users expressing grief and calling the video a heartbreaking reminder of how unpredictable life can be.
