Heating water with a solar panel.
This is our first test of solar hot water from a photovoltaic solar panel. We installed a 200w 24v immersion heater with a 250w 24v solar panel to a 30 litre hot water tank to store the solar hot water for our hand wash station.
It works great with minimal sun it heated the water to a comfy 36 degrees Celsius and today with some sun we are up to 45!! The insulation is the key to keeping your solar hot water warm the more the better we have 1ft thick all the way around.
