Iceland: PM's interview interrupted by earthquake with magnitude of 5.5
A large earthquake briefly disrupted an interview between Iceland's Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir and the Washington Post foreign affairs columnist David Ignatius.
"Sorry... there was an earthquake right now," the Prime Minister exclaimed during the interview.
"The house is still strong. So no worries..."
The earthquake that shook south-western Iceland on Tuesday occurred at 1.43 pm local time with a magnitude of 5.5, according to the Icelandic Meteorological Office.
There were several aftershocks detected, says the office.
