Phoenix III Sailing Dinghy

This is Paul Hernes' Phoenix III sailing on a broad reach in light conditions. The other boat is a Welsford Navigator. Paul's Phoenix III is being sailed with a non-standard rig taken from a Joel White Poohduck Skiff. This rig is substantially smaller than the standard specified in the plans, but it does drive the boat well. Paul uses three different rigs, depending on conditions and what takes his fancy on the day. Video by Paul Hernes.
