Judge Chutkan compares Trump speech to quote: Will no one rid me of this of this meddlesome priest?

During Trump's gag order hearing, Judge Tanya Chutkan took up the issue of how Trump says and posts things that are obviously intended to inspire his supporters to violence. The judge referred to the famous quote attributed to King Henry II, who wanted something done to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Beckett. The king did not just instruct his supporters to assault Beckett. Instead, he ruminated: "Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?" The king's supporters understood what this meant, and killed Beckett. The point was powerfully made by Judge Chutkan.
