I remember discovering Christina on youtube back in 2009. I remember subscribing to her and getting excited every time she uploaded a new video. I remember the excitement when she announced she’d be a contestant on The Voice US. I stayed up all night, due to time zone differences, to watch her performances. I remember how sad I was when I had a stupid science test and couldn’t attend her and Before You Exit’s concert in Norway in 2015. I watched her grow and succeed as an artist, and I was with her as her dreams came true.

This world is so cruel. Waking up on Saturday morning, June 11th 2016, to the news of her death shocked me. I was so in denial. I never imagined her life to end at 22. How could this happen? I can’t believe she’s actually gone. She’ll never come back and that hurts like hell. I’ll never get to meet her. I’ll never see her in concert. She had her whole life ahead of her with so many more dreams she could’ve chased. Christina was amazing and talented and so kindhearted. She was such a huge inspiration for so many people, including me. She will always be remembered.

Heaven has gained another angel.
Rest in peace, Christina.
