Restoring Vintage Garden Gnomes- Easy How to Paint Gnomes
Today I am sharing a little DIY tutorial about how I re-painted some vintage garden gnomes! It was a lot of fun and I think they came out pretty cute!
I tried my best to explain the steps I took for the project, if you have any questions or other helpful tips please leave in the comments!
More details in the blog post: https://perusevintage.com/2020/06/09/how-to-easily-restore-vintage-garden-gnomes/
What I Used:
-Gnome- Vintage gnome with some wear from over the years
-Sand paper: To create some texture for the new paint to grab onto
-Acrylic Paint: Any brand will do- I just used what I already had! You can purchase it relatively inexpensively at a craft store, Walmart, Dollar Tree, etc.
-Paint brushes: A little variety of shapes and sizes is best to be a little more precise!
-Clear Gloss Varnish Spray: Acrylic paint will not last outside in the elements- adding a gloss varnish spray will help the paint last longer and add a nice glossy effect! I purchased this for about $4 from a home improvement store but it is available at craft stores, Walmart, etc.
-Sharpie: I used this to do the small eye details along with some paint. You can use paint if you have a detail brush or q-tip!
Songs: "Sky View Well" and "Experience Nature Experience You", both by South London HiFi
