Wardha Lok Sabha election 2024 result. #wardha #loksabha #election #result

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections for the Wardha constituency in Maharashtra, Amar Sharadrao Kale of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) emerged victorious. He secured 533,106 votes, which was 48.68% of the total votes cast. His nearest competitor, Ramdas Chandrabhan Tadas from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), received 451,458 votes, accounting for 41.23% of the vote share. The margin of victory for Kale was 81,648 votes, marking a significant win in this constituency.

Amar Kale, a three-time Congress MLA from Arvi and nephew of former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh, entered the Lok Sabha electoral race for the first time and won against a two-time MP, Ramdas Tadas. The election highlighted Kale's stronger connection with rural voters and his focus on local issues, which contrasted with Tadas' campaign that heavily relied on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s track record. This was the only seat won by the NCP (in alliance with SP) in Vidarbha, showcasing the effective strategy of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in the region.

The voter turnout reflected active participation, and the competitive multi-party environment in Wardha was evident as candidates from BSP, VBA, and several independents also contested the election but with smaller vote shares.

This result shows the NCP's successful entry and influence in the Wardha constituency and a shift from BJP's previous hold on the seat.
