Soda Cans + Wax for High Jumps - Practice Inline Skating Ep 2

I often jump over soda cans. They are easy to stack and safe to use.

The only problem is that unopened cans tend to explode on impact.

And empty cans easily fall over.

The simplest solution is to fill them with water. However, if you don't have access to a drinking fountain and don't want to bring big bottles of water, I suggest a more permanent solution.

Put a few pieces of candle wax into your empty soda cans. To add weight you can add some old bearings, pieces of metals, stones, sand or, as in my case, clay pebbles. Whatever you can get your hands on!

The next step is to melt the wax. Boil water on a frying pan. Turn off the heat completely when the water starts boiling. This is very important, especially if you use a gas oven. Candle wax is highly flammable! Now put on the cans and wait 10 minutes or so for the candle to melt.

The cans can now be stacked and are much more stable than if they were empty.

The other thing you need is a yard stick. Place it on top of the stack, as shown.

Each soda can is almost 11.5 centimeters tall. That's the same as 4.5 inches. With the the yardstick on top, you can safely say the total height is 11.5 cm times the number of cans.

Since I do jump over five cans quite easily but six cans is a bit too much, I added a larger non standard can to my collection.

And to all skaters out there. I wonder, over how many cans can you jump?
