What You Need for Profitable PARKS in Cities: Skylines | More Money Less Traffic
Learn how parks alone cannot increase land value, and why education is the other key ingredient in this episode of MORE MONEY LESS TRAFFIC!
Would you like to play Cities: Skylines without running out of money? Are you frustrated because your cities get choked with traffic?
In Part 5 I'll show you how to make tons of money by building parks and a solid educational system. We'll see how much we improved land value since Part 4, and see what happens to it when we do not offer cims a proper education. We'll also introduce deathcare with our first cemetery, and explain what happens when a cim dies. With this episode along with Part 4, you'll understand a cim's full lifecycle, and how long cims live in Cities: Skylines.
We'll build a small expansion of our city on the "Seven Lakes" map following the plan we introduced in Part 1. How will we handle growing pains as our city progresses from 2,200 to 4,200 cims? Why do we want both parks and education to increase land value? Does increasing land value without enough educated workers harm our city's growth? Do props add to a park's entertainment score? Will our city have lots of abandoned buildings because we don't have enough educated workers? We'll find the answers in this episode!
In this tutorial series, you'll learn how to get started with a solid bank account and grow your city large enough that you'll never have to worry about money again. As the city expands, we'll show you how to use good urban design strategies to avoid crippling traffic problems. We'll only use the vanilla game and DLCs so console players can follow along too!
