What Should Be Noted When Connecting Two Battery Packs In Parallel?

This video focuses on the key precautions for connecting two lithium battery packs in parallel, especially how to ensure consistent charging and discharging currents. We conducts a practical test using two new 40Ah lithium iron phosphate battery packs and two identical 80A Daly protection boards (each with four temperature controls and a buzzer).
During the test, steps like matching epoxy board dimensions, laser welding cells and protection boards, and paralleling the positive and negative terminals are shown. The results confirm that when the following conditions are met, the two battery packs have nearly identical currents (20A for charging, 15A each for discharging, total 30A):
1.Cells are of the same type, same batch, and with good consistency;
2.Connection processes are identical to ensure equal loop internal resistance;
3.Protection boards are of the same model and current specification;
4.Output wire lengths are consistent.

🔔Hope this video is helpful for the DIY battery project you are working on and the use of electric vehicle batteries!
