Materials:
The craft utilizes Moonj and Kaasa grass, which are hand-harvested and then skillfully crafted into intricate patterns.
Process:
Moonj grass, also known as "Balla," is harvested and dried.
The dried grass is then soaked in water to make it more flexible for weaving.
Some "Ballas" are boiled in water with dyes to create colorful patterns.
The "Ballas" are coiled around dried Kaasa grass, creating strong, waterproof products.
