Everyday people die and while it’s painful for those close to the deceased to deal with, they can often take a small amount of comfort in knowing why and how they passed away. However, sometimes people die in a way so strange, that the unanswered questions linger on for years.

6. Christopher Chase

In 1991, a concerned friend of Christopher Chase called the Seattle police. She had been trying to get in touch with him for days but no one at his home was answering the calls.
When police arrived at his home, they found his door unlocked. Lines of salt in occultic designs were poured on the front porch and inside more lines of salt were on the base of the walls. Around 12 spent candles and multiple crucifixes also littered the apartment.

5. Albert Dekker

Most people today don't recognize the name Albert Dekker, but in his time, he was proclaimed as an intense and talented actor – having starred in more than 60 films including Dr. Cyclops and East of Eden. He also played memorable stage roles including that of Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman, but despite his amazing body of work, Albert’s legacy is overshadowed by his unusual and very creepy death.

4. Dr. Gilbert Bogle and Margaret Chandler

It was New Year's Eve in 1962 when Margaret Chandler and Dr. Gilbert Bogle slipped away from a party to spend some private moment with each other. The two headed to Lane Cove River in Sydney, Australia. This spot was known as a popular lover's lane.

3. Zigmund Adamski

It was June 6, 1980, at 3:30 PM in the afternoon, coal miner Zigmund Adamski bid farewell to his wife to buy potatoes at a shop. He passed by a neighbor and said a cheerful greeting and on he went. It looked like an ordinary summer afternoon but Adamski would never return.

2. Colonel Phillip Shue

It was April 16, 2003, when 54-year old Colonel Phillip Shue left home to head to work. After two hours, he was dead – a victim of an apparent car crash. He was found on the driver seat with his seat belt still on. He suffered a major head trauma from the accident and died as a result.

In 1976, the small town of Circleville, Ohio became the center of an intriguing set of hateful and anonymous letters. A mysterious figure had been sending letters to the residents of the town. What's alarming is that these were vindictive and hateful in tone, and it contained the resident's personal secrets.
