In order to refill your riding mower tire with air you need to get a good seal on the tire bead. Otherwise when you put air in the tire it will just leak out the side. So in order to do that you need to squeeze the tire down and out, putting pressure on the rim and creating a good seal. An easy way to do that is use a ratchet strap or rope and pipe. By tightening the rope around the tire it compresses it and pushes the side out. Then when you inflate the tire it seals on the bead.
