Indonesia Condemns Israeli Interception of Global Sumud Flotilla Bound for Gaza

Indonesia strongly condemned the Israeli military’s interception of the humanitarian mission Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 in the eastern Mediterranean, which reportedly involved the detention of several Indonesian citizens and journalists aboard aid vessels heading to Gaza. The Indonesian government called for the immediate release of all detained crew members and volunteers.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also urged Israel to guarantee safe and uninterrupted humanitarian aid access for the Palestinian people in accordance with international humanitarian law. Indonesian authorities continue coordinating with related parties to monitor the safety of all Indonesians involved in the mission.
