Bill Rutland: A Salvation Army & Baptist Minister Who Became Catholic

Bill is both a former Salvation Army officer and a Southern Baptist minister. Brought up in Montgomery, AL, his future wife, though her witness, brought him to Jesus at the age of 26. His journey to the Catholic Church began when he discovered Thomas Merton’s “Seven Story Mountain.” His barriers to the Catholic faith began to fall after he met a young Catholic man who was able to knowledgably answer Bill’s many questions.
