Calvary Cemetery, Evanston IL - Those Forgotten, and some Famous and Infamous
(1) Charles Comiskey, early historic player and innovator in baseball, founder and owner of the Chicago White Sox.
(2) Charles A. Plamondon, the President of Plamondon Manufacturing Company, makers of machinery. He was traveling on the ill-fated RMS Lusitania with his wife, Mary Letitia Mackin. Both Charles and Mary Plamondon were lost in the sinking resulting from a torpedo hit fired by a German submarine.
(3) Ernest (Ernesto) M. Libonati, a famous Chicago musician who was in the orchestra during the Iroquois Theater fire and disaster where 600 people died. Earnest was the leading mandolin player of the time, along with being a talented player of the cello, flute and violin.
(4) Jane Margaret Byrne, an American politician who was the first woman to be elected mayor of a major city in the United States.
