Mazda CX 5 CX 3 Mazda 3 Mazda 6 Transmission ATF FZ & Filter replacement FW6AEL / FW6AXEL Gearbox

Hello viewers, hopefully everyone are well. This video I am going to demonstrate how to replace the Transmission fluid ATF FZ & Transmission filter on this Mazda equipped with Skyactiv transmission FW6AEL / FW6AX EL. The car has done 40.000 kms.

This procedure should be similar with all Mazda equipped with Skyactiv gasoline engine and Automatic transmission.

Tools & Parts:
Mazda ATF FZ Fluid
Mazda Strainer filter FZ 0121 500 / Equivalent OE parts
Torque wrench
Ratchet with 10mm socket
Hex drive 8mm
Liquid gasket RTV Red / Grey

Please recheck the ATF FZ fluid level once you completed the service and have the vehicle warmed up. It must be leveled on the marking on the dip stick.

*Even though the manual books stated the ATF is lifetime and doesnt need changing i would not recommend to follow because of what i had saw from my transmission service.*

*I highly recommend this service and is a must every 40000kms. After the service, the transmission engage thru gears very smoothly. Gives the car a better performance from changing the gears.*

*Every 20000kms i recommend to drain n fill service for the transmission.*
