A donkey used to carry sacks of salt for his master. Cleverly, the donkey pretended to fall into the river daily to dissolve the salt and lighten his load. One day, the master taught him a lesson by replacing the salt with cotton. When the donkey fell into the river, the cotton absorbed water and became heavier. The donkey's trick failed, and he learned his lesson, eventually apologizing for his behavior.
