Bob McBride ~ Pretty City Lady (1972) ڿڰۣ☸¸.•*´¨

A lovely song from Bob McBride.. former lead singer of Lighthouse. This song sounds a little like country, different than the strong sound of Lighthouse. 'Pretty City Lady' was released on Bob's first solo album 'Butterfly Days'. Whenever I see the album cover with the butterflies in his hair, I think of hippie days...

Bob won a Juno Award for Outstanding Performance of the Year (1973), and nominated for a Juno for Best Male Vocalist (1974). A couple songs where his voice is really outstanding are 'One Fine Morning', and 'Hats Off to the Stranger' with Lighthouse. I didn't know about Bob McBride until the past few years, but always liked hearing Lighthouse songs on the radio :) The band won a Juno for Best Group of the Year in 1972. And I believe they are still active today.
