Alpine Loop / Wheeler Geologic Area / Pitkin Passage - August 2025

A recap from a series of recent trips. Three days in the San Juan's on an expanded version of the Alpine Loop connecting Silverton, Lake City, Ourday and Telluride. A bike and hike combo to the Wheeler Geologic area in the La Garita Wildnerness. And two full days looping from Pitkin to Tincup and revisiting the Alpine Tunnel & Canyon Creek trail. Mostly just my bike leaning against rocks and signs; but I also saw some beautiful flowers, scars of old mining ruins & approximately 600 OHV's
