so uh listened to von's tetro songs and. absinthe love was so affirming in the most messed up way i was RIGHT about hasegawa (like ch 5 didnt prove this) but also. this i know had me in SHOCK like yea hiroaki is my 1st/2nd favourite character (yanagi fights for this title if it wasnt obvious) but i thought all the stuff i thought about him was headcanon but that song both made them canon and TOOK THEM A STEP FURTHER
so i obviously listened to ojousama and eden's path and tower of babel in pizzacato and. oh my GOD tower of babel in pizzacato. "i see my father in myself" because of the genrational trauma. "morally i'm graying farther" with how he got darker as the game passed (his hand, his roots growing back in) "true that everyone is born innocent, i know this too: that everyone is capable of hurting someone" for the fact he had lilah and katayama and his dad. the "white hot rage that i could never really reach, never really big enough to overpower an ending wall" and ohhhh the "if you thought you'd seen me at my worst, i can't wait to disappoint you even more" with how he's "past redemption". the mentions of "a million times i told you so" and "can't stand the weight of your ego" HE'S BOTH CALLING HIMSELF AND HIS DAD OUT. HE DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE THE SELF-LOATHING,,, "calling myself a knight seems like an honor i never really earned" he doesn't. he doesn't even see himself as a prince or a knight even thouh he tells sasaki to "fall for a prince's charm" in ojousama. HE DOESN'T THINK HE HAS THE RIGHT and the parts with the "and yet i'm not the one they're strapping to a pyre, how goddamn predictable" or the "rose tinted glasses making scarlet seem as if it's PINK, goddamn predictable" I AM SCREAMING. the fact it's predictable repeated several times over. PLEASEEE

so i finished up my yanagi lyrics (actually) and here's a sneak peek! side note: bunny hops are a beginner move that figure skaters first learn when starting, quad axels (mentioned in tetro as a title) are the most difficult move to master in figure skating as you need to make four and a half rotations in less han a second. hope this helps :))))
