Prof. Mohammed basil Altaie: is Emeritus Professor of Physics. Obtained his Ph.D. from Manchester University in 1978 and has served 20 years at Iraqi Universities and another 20 years at Yarmouk University, Jordan. He has published more then 50 science articles in topics of theoretical physics: general relativity, black holes and quantum cosmology. Altaie has published twelve books two of which are in English: (God, Nature and the Cause) and (The Divine Word and the Grand Design). Prof. Altaie has published more than 200 popular articles in various intellectual fields of knowledge, mostly in Science and Religion. Prof. Altaie has deep studies in Islamic kalam and has written several articles in English and in Arabic about the Islamic philosophy of Nature. His book Daqiq Al-Kalam: the Islamic approach to Natural Philosophy has been published in Arabic in two editions. The English translation of the book is ready to be published. Prof. Altaie was a guest speaker at many academic institution and conferences in several countries including Malaysia, Turkey, UAE, Romania, France, and the U.K. Now Altaie is collaborating with the theory group at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Leeds University, U.K as a visiting professor.
