We are entering peak sunrise season here in the desert, so I built myself a DIY porch swing with reclaimed lumber and old outdoor chairs gifted to me by a friend. I love I can take something old and recycle it into a totally new and functional piece. I never even sat in these as chairs.

I love how I brought the tile over from the DIY stock tank I just did so when you leave the house and walk over to the pool...you don't even know that you're getting a peak at an accent you can find somewhere else on my property.

This DIY outdoor makeover lets you see just how easy an upgrade can be. You don't need to spend a ton to show your space that you care. This corner needed some love so I did what I could with what I had on hand and I am proud. Do you think if you challenged yourself to refresh a space with $0 you could? If you said yes and can think of a space, I dare you to go do it and thank me later.

I'm not sure if it is because what I am doing lately is more permanent to my property so I can see the renovation vision coming to life or that I had a weekend building with my best friends but damn, I feel like I've creatively come back to myself. We are going to continue working on the party pad and wrap that up before heading back into the trailer where the entire ceiling has caved in...fun.
