AITA for physically defending myself from a grown man when he was late bringing his daughter home?

I (20M) took a girl (20F) on a first date. I found out she still lived with her parents and had a curfew. I respected that.

I planned to take her mini golf. Upon picking her up, her father, who is a much older and very large man, pulled me aside before I could even say hello to my date.

He started grilling me about my intentions, my job, my car, my family. I answered politely. Then he said I had to have her back by 9 PM sharp or there would be "consequences."

I said okay. We went on our date.
