Early April in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Early April in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It's the start of April and we've got 19 degrees today.

And can you see just over my shoulder, the fruit trees are blossoming.

So today here in the village, Tam's parents are up and lots of seeds being planted in the garden.

And I've also, without giving too much away, ordered some British cucumber seeds.

Although cucumbers are really nice. Krastovac are really nice here. I think local Krastovac are the best when they are pickled.

Yep, so they're called kisela Krastovac, then spicy or pickled cucumbers. We would call them gherkins back in the UK.

I love krastovac. English cucumbers. They're so mild and they're long, aren't they?

And you don't have to peel the skins off, just wash them because they're not acidic.

So Predrag's in the garden at the moment, working away. And Lily will be joining him shortly, as you can see, beautiful weather, those blue skies that I keep going on about.

And yeah, I just thought I'd give you a glimpse into life today.
