The Shield - Child Safe Roman Shade Operating System

Merrill Y. Landis, Ltd. has been making Quality Custom Window Treatments for over 60 years and is a leader in the manufacture and distribution of Child Safe Roman Shades and operating systems. The Shield is a cordless operating system in that it uses a spring to raise and lower the shade. There are still lift cords which are both shrouded and encased between the lift liner and the shade.

Two notable additional benefit of this design is the clean look facing the street. Even though there are rings, cords and shrouds, all you see is a flat clean liner. You also get the added benefit of blocking the light peeking through at the rings on blackout lined shades.

Liners are available in blackout and translucent.
