1903 Paris Madrid Race: "The Death of Sport Racing"

Perhaps the first major flash point in the new sport of motor racing, the Paris Madrid race of 1903 was poorly organised and poorly run with tragic consequences. Motor racing is dangerous and that is something that early 20th century France learnt the hard way.
