You Can't Always Get What You Want is a song from the single (B-side of "Honky Tonk Women") recorded in July 1969 by The Rolling Stones and the December 1969 album Let It Bleed. Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, it was named the 100 best song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine on its 2004 list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time before leaving a spot the following year.
