Android developer drama time. Google tried rolling out a new verification program that would require devs to submit government IDs and fees just to distribute apps on certified devices. Basically putting the Play Store behind a paywall. Great for stopping malware… terrible if you run a legit third-party app store or build anything outside Google’s bubble.
