Signs and symptoms of a heart attack and how CVIFD is ready to help

Every Chino Valley Fire District responding unit is staffed by a minimum of two firefighter/paramedics, and often times all personnel on our apparatus are trained and certified paramedics that carry EKG monitors, with 12-lead capability.

This heart monitors give our firefighter/paramedics the ability to determine when someone is having a heart attack and ensures the patient is transported to the appropriate medical facility. Using the 12-lead capability can and has saved lives.
