TAMANG PAGLUTO NG VEGETABLE KARE-KARE | FOODNATICS

THE BEST WAY TO COOK VEGETABLE KARE-KARE (exact ingredients below)

Kare-Kare is a Philippine stew cooked with a thick savory peanut sauce. It is usually a variation of oxtail, ox tripe, pork hocks, calves feet, pig feet, beef, seafood, and vegetables. In this video, I used only vegetables, which is a perfect combination with the kare-kare sauce. Kare Kare is not complete without a bagoong (shrimp paste). Serve it with freshly cooked white rice.

Ingredients:
For beef stock (optional) :
1 kg beef bones
1 medium-sized carrot
2 stalks celery
5 cloves garlic
2 pcs medium-sized onion
1 tsp peppercorn
4-6 cups of water

kare-kare sauce:
3 tsp annatto oil
5 cloves minced garlic
2 pcs medium-sized chopped onion
3/4 cups of peanut butter
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp fish sauce
3 cups beef stock
1 tsp glutinous flour
1/4 cup crushed peanuts
15 pcs string beans (blanched)
2 bundle of pechay (blanched)
1 medium-sized banana heart (blanched)
5 pcs eggplant (fried)
sauteed shrimp paste
