THIS IS AFRICA. POEM: Van-Van SONG: Ms'sikay

This is Africa is a collaborative work between Zambian poetess Vanessa Chisakula (Van-van) and the Zimbabwean singer Msiz' kay.

Africa is mistaken to be so many things and also it has been a victim of so many unfortunate events, such as wars being funded just to see it divided, its minerals have always been in the hands of foreigners and so my poem is a celebration of our African-ness and also a reminder that we re great and that whatever tags we are given are not ours we just need to look within us to find us and embrace us so aw can have a better future. I speak about our traditions our food and our beautiful natural resources and how we are better off as allies than enemies. We should not allow color, location or man-made boarders divide us. We are Africa.
