Windows 98 SE Demo ~ A revised Windows 98 isn't bad!

Well, given I covered the public beta of Windows 7 a while ago, it wouldn't be long before I covered another Windows version. I chose to just do a demo of Windows 98 instead of a video about using it in 2024, as it would just be easier that way.

Well, anyways, I installed Windows 98 SE on an HP Pavilion a735w quite a bit back by now, and it runs almost flawlessly, minus no PS/2 support and some boot problems that sometimes plague this computer. Windows 98 SE released in 1999 as a "Y2K-compliant" version of Windows 98 (as advertised), but it was more so a major update to fix many bugs in the original Windows 98. Not to mention, 98 SE is fairly separate from 98 FE (First Edition, or simply 98), with technology in drivers and even in the OS-tan field, where 98 and 98 SE are represented by two unique OS-tans. Support for Windows 98 and 98 SE, as well as ME, got dropped in 2006, an by that point the Microsoft corporate overlords had already made it virtually impossible to run 98 SE on that new of hardware (well, sort of). Only that's not until 2007 and I've gotten a 98 kernel to run on hardware from 2005!

So, today I'm going to use Windows 98 SE. It's as simple as that. I also have Microsoft Plus! installed, but the majority of that content is another story for another day.
