Why You Should Add Clay To Your Compost & Other Stories

It's been a bit nutty over the last two weeks. We were involved in a head-on collision which knocked my video production schedule out of balance.... but, I'm back, and today we're sifting compost from the Back to Eden chicken compost system. I am also layering seaweed, biochar, brown leaves and clay into my big compost bin. Add clay to compost and it sticks around longer by making the humus persistent - cool, eh? In other news, we've been losing chicks in the night to what I believe are rats, so I show you how I buttoned up the coop tight with Portland cement. Predator proof chicken coop? Hopefully!
