If the Bark Side Meets the Dark Side: Fighting Discrimination and Harassment in the VetMed Workspace

On Oct 2, 2024 we spoke with Jo-Anne Yau, an experienced attorney about fighting discrimination and harassment in the vet med workspace.

Recently, an AAVMP member reached out to us regarding concerns about workplace discrimination. As an organization dedicated to representing Asians int he veterinary workforce, we recognized the importance of addressing this issue and reached out to Jo-Anne for her expertise.

Jo-Anne Yau specializes in representing healthcare professionals o nmatters related to discrimination, harassment, liability, professional grievances, business growth, and academic integrity. She is licensed to practice law in both the U.S. and Canada and holds a post-doctorate degree in Internet Law from Scotland.

In addition to her legal expertise, Jo-Anne is deeply involved in community initiatives, supporting entrepreneurs, women in business, youth in sports, the Asian community, and emerging markets.
