Weepingwind & Raveneye did love each other deeply, once. Both looking forward to becoming parents & their kit would come to inherit the leader role. Weepingwind however, suffered fertility issues leading to multiple stillborns and failed pregnancies. The heartbreak and losses took a big toll on them both; straining their once close bond.

Everything came to a halt when the pale kit was born and Raveneye's faith was tested. Lead by anger and fears accumulated ever since kithood, his choices led towards a legacy stuck in the old ways of Corvidclan: where a dark pelt held utmost necessity in correlation to their beliefs and close bonds to the dark birds.

When the attempt to discard the kit was thwarted, seemingly by a higher power or even starclan itself, he reluctantly returned it to Weepingwind; who in an attempt to make her kit become closer to the clan named her Crowkit. Raveneye didn't disagree to it, he thought of his father Crowingheart as he heard it.
