Dumeril's boas (Acrantophis dumerili) are some of the most beautifully patterned, reasonably sized, and well-tempered snakes on Earth. That said, they are not that common as pets compared to other boas like the common boa, ball pythons, corn snakes, hognose snakes, or even reticulated pythons, blood pythons, or carpet pythons.
