This is a quick unboxing and test of the probably famous Harbor Freight 100 watt solar kit. I ended up buying 3 total of these kits, and combined them to charge a set of 4 matching deep cycle batteries. They will not compete with a complete $4000 solar system, but for the price, and also because they're easy to go find, its hard to beat. If I break a panel, I'll just go buy more.

The solar kits are typically less than $200, better if you have the coupon or wait for them to go on sale. The batteries I am using are the bigger size deep cycle battery from Wal-Mart, typically around $100 each.
