Marvel Rivals is filled with lore so in my attempt to cover EVERY piece of lore in the game to tell the actual story of what's happening we have to start with Doctor Strange and his encounter with Dr. Doom during the Rise of Doom storyline in Marvel Rivals Season 0. This directly ties into the beginning of Season 1 - Eternal Night, as we see the beginnings of Dr. Doom's plan to bathe New York City in an endless darkness.
