There are huge safety risks that come with recycling and waste to product management. At Renewi, each gas container presents a potential danger to the plant and it’s workers.

Robovision AI enables Renewi to prevent fire and explosions by combining computer vision and deep learning.

Together with our partner Viu More we’ve installed smart cameras that can detect gas bottles in waste streams.

This way a warning message is sent to the crane operator, preventing the gas bottle from ending up in the shredder. Every detected gas canister is another fire prevented.
