MINI R53 Failed Bypass Valve

This is a video to show you what a failed bypass valve looks/acts like. I knew I had this problem over a year ago after seeing the code in a report from my emissions testing, error code p1688. i ordered a Detroit Tuned Bypass Valve but never had the time or confidence to change it out myself. Then after doing more intense work on the car last month I decided I had the know how to do it myself and finally changed it out. The work took about 2 hours with the right tools and has brought my MINI back to life. I no longer have sluggish launches and the throttle response is back to the day it rolled off the lot.
