Singapore WalkWalk: The ArtScience Museum

The ArtScience Museum was opened on 17 Feb 2011 and is within the integrated resort of Marina Bay Sands in the Downtown Core of Singapore. It is the world's first ArtScience museum, featuring major exhibitions that blend art, science, culture and technology.

The shape of the Museum is unique and was designed by Moshe Safdie. It is in the shape of a lotus flowerr and also looked like an open palm hand. The design concept for each finger in the "welcoming hand" denotes various gallery spaces sporting skylights at the "fingertips", which are included as sustainable illumination for the curved interior walls.
