Wanderung (ca. 12km) im Bavonatal (Seitental vom Maggiatal) von Foroglio via die Cascata di Foroglio - Puntid - Gerra nach Calneggia entlang dem Fiume Calneggia.

Foroglio, ca. 35 km nördlich von Locarno, ist ein kleines Dorf mit traditionellen Steinhäusern, die sich um eine kleine Kirche aus dem 15. Jahrhundert scharen. Aus gut 110 Meter Höhe stürzt sich hier der Fluss Calneggia über eine Klippe in die Tiefe. Eine steile Steintreppe führt neben dem Wasserfall hoch nach Puntid. Von dort führt eine steinerne Bogenbrücke weiter nach Splüia Bèla (Splüia sind Unterstände unter Felsblöcken die früher von Vieh und Hirten genutzt wurden) und Gerra (Überschwemmungsebene mit weiteren Splüias).

Am Ende des Tals steht Calneggia. Ein Maiensäss (in der Regel gerodete Fläche mit Hütten und Ställen) mit traditionellen Rustici. Ab Calneggia starten diverse Alpine Touren.

Hike (approx. 12km) in the Bavona valley (side valley of the Maggia valley Ticino/Switzerland) from Foroglio via the Cascata di Foroglio - Puntid - Gerra to Calneggia along the Fiume Calneggia.

Foroglio, about 35 km north of Locarno, is a small village with traditional stone houses that crowd around a small church from the 15th century. From a height of 110 meters, the Calneggia river plunges over a cliff into the depths. A steep stone staircase leads next to the waterfall up to Puntid. From there a stone arch bridge leads to Splüia Bèla (Splüia are shelters under boulders that were formerly used by cattle and shepherds) and Gerra (flood plain with other Splüias).

Calneggia is at the end of the valley. A Maiensäss (usually cleared area with huts and stables) with traditional rustici. Various alpine tours start from Calneggia.
