5-Day Winter Adventure on the Icefields Parkway | Ice Caves, Northern Lights & Remote Wilderness

Join us on a 5-day winter camping and backpacking trip along the legendary Icefields Parkway – the most beautiful highway in Canada. April 3rd-7th, 2025.

Short trip recap:
We started with a quiet sunset at Peyto Lake, then woke at 4:30 AM to explore the Stutfield Glacier ice cave at sunrise. After that, we snowshoed to Sunset Pass and camped on a ridge under the northern lights. The following day, we enjoyed a brilliant alpine sunrise before heading to Sunset Lookout. The rest of the time was spent by the campfire, hiking to Glacier Lake, and cooking meals with breathtaking views. On our drive home, we bushwhacked to a lookout over Waterfowl Lakes.
