This is a selection of recordings by the legendary Henry Hall and his BBC Dance Orchestra from 1935. The band was the biggest radio attraction in Britain in the mid 1930s and this video gives a flavour of the repertoire of the time.

Originally recorded for Columbia in 1935, these 78rpm recordings, long out of copyright, have been remastered by this user.

This video is dedicated to the memory of the late Harold Kaye of Halifax, West Yorkshire; a Henry Hall enthusiast without parallel. His enthusiasm for Henry's music never dimmed and his company is much missed.
