Artisan d’un son à la fois unique et fascinant, le Poly-Rythmo est l’un des plus grands orchestres africains, pour lequel la polyrythmie n’est pas un vain mot. Auteur de centaines d’enregistrements, cet orchestre est l’un des plus prolifiques de tout le continent, au même titre que l’OK Jazz congolais, seul rival possible en nombre de disques publiés. Au gré de sa cinquième décennie d’existence, le Poly-Rythmo est aujourd’hui le plus ancien orchestre africain encore en activité.

From Trinidad & Tobago, Calypso Rose and is the undisputed queen of Calypso for more than 40 years. After having produced 30 albums and composed 800 songs, she lives today in the Queens in NYC. Her next album “Far From Home” was released on May 27th 2016 on Because Music (Manu Chao, Major Lazer, Amadou & Mariam, Christine And the Queens, Selah Sue, Metronomy…).
